After a video of the incident went viral on social media. A top Pakistani university Expelled two Students for Hugging and Proposing on campus. The two students summoned to a meeting of the University of Lahore’s special disciplinary committee on Friday. But they did not show up. The committee then decided to expel the boy and girl from the university and prohibit them from entering any of its campuses.

According to the University of Lahore, the two students involved in gross misconduct and violations of University rules.

Expelled Students for Hugging

“The students were summoned to appear before the committee, but they did not show up. As a result, the committee has decided to expel the two students for violating the varsity’s rules and regulations. And serious infractions of the code of conduct under Section 9 of the General Discipline and Code of Conduct Campus. Now, they prohibited to enter University. And all of its sub-campuses under Section 16″, the university said in a statement.

When the incident occurred last Thursday, the proposal’s video went viral and became one of the top trends on social media.

The university became aware of the footage after it went viral.

The couple’s expulsion drew mixed reactions on the internet. A picture of Indian film legend Amitabh Bachchan from the film “Mohabbatein”. In which he played a college principal against romance in college, was shared on Social Media.

The caption with a photograph of Bachchan read, “Presenting to you, the Principal of the University of Lahore.”

Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, the daughter of Pakistan’s assassinated prime minister Benazir Bhutto, called the university action “ridiculous.”

Shaniera Akram, the wife of former Test cricketer Wasim Akram, tweeted: “You can apply all the rules you want, but you can’t expel love!” It’s in our hearts, the best part about being young, and what makes life worthwhile! You learn more about love than you ever could in a classroom.”
