Lahore,The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), has reported significant progress in its flagship project — Pakistan’s largest and premier IT City, CBD NSIT City. The project is moving forward in line with the authority’s vision of building sustainable infrastructure that will transform Punjab into a hub of technology and business excellence.

Sharing updates on the IT City’s development, CBD Punjab’s Executive Director Technical, Riaz Hussain, stated that nearly 70 percent of the drainage system has been completed. Development works across Packages I, II, and III are actively progressing, with the water-bound layer being laid across major sections. He further added that as soon as the monsoon season concludes, asphalt carpeting will begin on Circular Road I and Circular Road II from September, marking another crucial step in the project’s advancement.

Riaz Hussain emphasized that the project is being executed strictly according to the planned timeline. Once the core infrastructure — including road networks, drainage channels, and circular roads — is completed, designated plots will be officially handed over to universities, IT institutions, recreational facilities, and other stakeholders for vertical construction. This milestone will lay the foundation for CBD NSIT City’s emergence as Pakistan’s premier hub for information technology, innovation, and higher education.

In parallel, the Celestia IT & Office Tower, under construction within the Silicon Block of CBD NSIT City, has also achieved remarkable progress, with 55 percent of its structural and finishing works completed. Designed as a modern high-rise redefining luxury and mixed-use living, the tower is advancing on schedule and meeting the highest quality standards.

Expressing his views on the developments, CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, stated:
“The CBD NSIT City and Celestia IT & Office Tower are transformative projects that will not only reshape the urban and economic fabric of Punjab but also position the province as a leading hub for IT, business, and modern living. These projects reflect our unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.”

With consistent progress and timely execution, CBD Punjab continues to set new benchmarks in urban development, foster economic opportunities, and pave the way for a technologically empowered future for Punjab and Pakistan.
