The decision, confirmed by the School Education Department, comes after growing concerns over high temperatures and their potential health risks for children. According to officials, a formal notification will be issued in the coming days.
Why the Extension Was Needed
While schools were initially scheduled to reopen earlier in August, persistent high temperatures have kept the mercury soaring well above comfortable levels. The School Education Secretary explained that protecting students’ health was the top priority.
