Police confirm that the killing of an Indian-origin family at their Massachusetts home in Dover was a murder-suicide.

The mystery surrounding the death of three Indian-origin family members who were discovered dead in their Dover estate in Massachusetts, US, three days earlier, has been resolved.

A relative found the dead remains of the Kamal family late on Thursday at their opulent and jolly furnished Wilson’s Way home: Rakesh (57), Teena (54), and Arianna (18). The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office has now declared that Rakesh Kamal killed his wife and daughter with gunfire before taking his own life.

The Indian-origin family was discovered dead in their opulent Dover, Massachusetts house on December 29, 2023. There is a clear indication from the local accounts that domestic violence occurred. After a family member dropped by to check on Kamals at 7:24 p.m., Dover police responded to the 911 call and arrived at the property. It had been a day or two since they had heard from the Kamals.

The authorities disclosed on December 30th that Arianna, the 18-year-old daughter of Rakesh Kamal, was a student at Middlebury College. The child was described by Michael Morrissey, the district attorney for Norfolk County, as a “sweet, smart, kind young woman who was just beginning to realize her full potential.”

Teena, the mother of Arianna, led the parents’ association at the upper school and “was a committed and caring advocate for both parents and students at Milton.”

The local media sources state that although the Kamals don’t have any other family members residing in the area, they do have relatives there as well as overseas.
