The Hum Style Awards took place on Sunday, and let us say that this year’s red carpet ensembles were a textbook case of fashion faux pas.

The Hum Style Awards are an annual event attended by Pakistani celebrities from the television, fashion, and music sectors. While stars are expected to wear costumes that showcase the finest of Pakistani design, their looks this year were anything but stunning. The following are celebrity ensembles that left much to be desired.

"sunday plus", The red carpet Hum Style Awards acted as a cautionary account of what not to wear.

What we didn’t like: Hussyn’s suit appears to be ill-fitting, which is a fashion faux pas for claims that are not supposed to be baggy. MAHGUL created her outfit.

A suit was worn by Ali Xeeshan in the ‘King of the Hill’ series

What we didn’t like: Xeeshan’s clothes are unorthodox, and while we’ve like his out-of-the-box designs in the past, we’re having a hard time digesting the polka-dotted bathrobe he’s wearing beneath the cloak.

Alizeh Shah’s black strapless gown

"sunday plus", The red carpet Hum Style Awards acted as a cautionary account of what not to wear.

What we didn’t like: While this gown had a lot of potentials, the bodice was not well-suited to Shah’s form. It would have been a lot more flattering if it had been reduced. We’re not sure if the flashes of white tulle beneath her garment (an underskirt, perhaps?) were deliberate. If it was, it failed miserably; if not, someone kindly colors her underskirts black! The memes are pouring in for this one, and we see where they’re coming from.

What didn’t we like: Jaswal’s blazer’s reverse stitching on one side? True, we’re skipping that for our next formal suit inspiration. Mohtaram designed the suit.
