Between April and October, the best time to fly to Skardu is. After October, the temperature drops significantly. It can reach a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit). During the winter, the valley is occasionally covered in snow. Roads can become impassable for several days.
The valley is a popular trekking destination and a gateway to four peaks, drawing international visitors, mountaineers, and trekkers. Additionally, five of the world’s fourteen highest standalone peaks are located in northern Pakistan’s Himalayan and Karakoram Mountains.
