Pakistan’s squash legacy is being revived — not by one, but by three rising stars from the same family. The Ali sisters are making waves in the international squash circuit, with their most recent triumph coming at the prestigious US Junior Women’s Gold Squash Championship in New York.

In a historic moment for Pakistan squash, sisters Sehrish and Mahnoor Ali faced off in the final of the Girls Under-15 category. Sehrish stunned the crowd by defeating her top-seeded elder sister Mahnoor in straight sets (3-0) to claim the gold medal. Mahnoor, who had dominated her semi-final against America’s Halesz Sweet M, walked away with silver after a strong overall performance.

Sehrish had a tougher route to the final, battling through a 3-1 win over Julie Yee. But both sisters showcased exceptional skill, composure, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

This isn’t the first time the Ali sisters have brought pride to Pakistan. Just weeks ago, all three siblings — Mahnoor, Sehrish, and Mehwish — left their mark at the Australian Junior Women’s Squash Championship. Mahnoor won gold in the Under-13, Sehrish earned silver in the Under-15, and their eldest sister Mehwish captured gold in the Under-17 category.

Their recent achievements are a breath of fresh air for Pakistan squash, a sport that once ruled the world through legends like Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan. The Ali sisters’ rise signals the start of what could be a new golden era for the country in international squash.
