Marvel Studios is set to bring “The Fantastic Four” to life with a star-studded cast. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will take on the iconic roles of Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (the Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm/the Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/the Thing, respectively. This marks the superhero quartet’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) following the merger of 20th Century Fox with The Walt Disney Company in 2019.
Directed by Matt Shakman, known for his work on “WandaVision,” and penned by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer, “The Fantastic Four” is slated for release on July 25, 2025. True to Marvel’s secretive style, details about the plot are scarce. Based on the original characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby for Marvel Comics, the Fantastic Four gain superpowers after exposure to cosmic rays in space.
In this cinematic adaptation, Reed can stretch his body to extraordinary lengths, Sue can manipulate light to become invisible and create force fields, Johnny can transform into fire, granting him flight, and Ben is transformed into a giant, orange, super-strong being.
