The Faculty Advising Office at Forman Christian College University successfully organized the 14th Annual Advising Fair.
This year’s event marked a historic milestone as it was the first Advising Fair ever hosted inside the Multipurpose Hall, setting a new benchmark for future student-centered academic engagements at FCCU.

Held under the theme, “Faculty Advising in the Changing World – Artificial Intelligence, Advising and Counselling, New Policies and Our Responsibilities,” the fair served as a dynamic platform for counselling, advising, and guiding students toward meaningful academic planning and career development. The event reflected FCCU’s enduring commitment to student success, academic excellence, and holistic education.
The Advising Fair welcomed Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors into an engaging and interactive environment where students had the opportunity to connect directly with faculty advisors, departmental representatives, and university support offices. Departmental Information Desks provided detailed guidance on majors and minors, academic roadmaps, degree audits, career pathways, and higher education opportunities.
Students also benefited from the participation of the AAC Degree Audit Corner, Career Services, International Education Office, UNIV100 Advisors/Advisees, and the Writing Centre, all of which contributed to making the event collaborative, informative, and student-focused.
A key highlight of Advising Fair 2026 was the inclusion of the Centre for Public Policy & Governance, the Department of Global Languages & Cultures, the Department of Visual & Performing Arts, and the Academic Office, significantly expanding the range of academic resources available to students under one roof. Departments actively showcased their programs, with particular enthusiasm surrounding newly introduced majors and minors, reflecting FCCU’s evolving academic vision and responsiveness to contemporary educational needs.
Beyond academic planning, the fair reinforced a culture of thoughtful and informed decision-making by empowering students to align their educational choices with their personal aspirations and professional goals. By providing clarity, confidence, and direction, the Advising Fair continues to play a vital role in shaping students’ academic journeys and preparing them for meaningful futures.
The event was graced by Rector Dr. Jonathan S. Addleton, Vice-Rector Dr. Douglas E. Trimble, Associate Vice-Rectors Dr. Gloria Calib and Dr. Hee Sook Song, along with Deans and Chairpersons of academic departments. Their presence underscored the university’s strong institutional support for faculty advising and personalized student mentorship.
At the closing ceremony, Dr. Atiq-ur-Rehman expressed gratitude to the university leadership, faculty advisors, staff members, and all contributors whose collective efforts made Advising Fair 2026 a landmark success.
As one of FCCU’s distinguished annual traditions, the Advising Fair continues to evolve as a cornerstone of academic guidance and student empowerment. Distinct from conventional job and career fairs in Pakistan’s higher education landscape, FCCU’s Annual Advising Fair uniquely emphasizes comprehensive academic advising, mentorship, meaningful life planning, and student development in alignment with the university’s mission and Faculty Advising Model.
As Pakistan’s leading liberal arts institution, FCCU remains committed to fostering intellectually grounded, globally aware, and socially responsible graduates prepared to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
