Punjab is witnessing a remarkable transformation under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. If one were to say that she is rewriting the script of governance, development, safety, and public welfare in the province — it wouldn’t be an exaggeration. Her policies and decisions are shaping a new, people-centered Punjab that reflects both vision and determination.

One of her most significant achievements so far is the recent legislation mandating that land ownership disputes must be resolved within 90 days. This landmark decision is being hailed as revolutionary, as it brings long-awaited relief to thousands who have suffered for years due to delayed and complicated land cases. By introducing this law, Maryam Nawaz has not only streamlined governance but also reinforced the idea that justice delayed is justice denied.

But this is just one of the many steps defining her tenure. A long list of initiatives marks her commitment to reforming Punjab from the ground up. The establishment of the Central Command and Dispatch (CCD) system, the creation of the Pira Force for women’s safety, and the Clean Punjab campaign are all evidence of her drive to ensure a safer, cleaner, and more efficient province. Each of these measures reflects a deep understanding of public needs and a modern approach to governance.

Her administration has also taken bold steps to eliminate the “Dala culture” — a term often used for the network of middlemen and political interference that hindered justice and progress. Alongside this, the crackdown on illegal weapons and encroachments shows her resolve to restore law, order, and civic discipline.

Maryam Nawaz’s focus on welfare has been equally strong. The government’s decision to provide monthly stipends to prayer leaders (imams) is a thoughtful move that recognizes their social and spiritual role in communities. Similarly, the formation of an Environment Force signals her vision for a sustainable and eco-friendly Punjab — a first of its kind in the region.

Step by step, she is turning promises into actions, and her governance style is setting new standards for accountability and transparency. The growing list of reforms under her leadership suggests a clear direction — a Punjab that is progressive, just, and people-first.
