While attending the premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning on Sunday, the 62-year-old actor revealed how he would like to celebrate the special day. Cruise, who shares two children—Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30—with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, and a daughter, Suri, 19, with former wife Katie Holmes, expressed that his ideal Father’s Day involves doing what he loves most.
“Just having fun, making movies, big adventures and having a great time,” Cruise told E! News, reflecting his well-known passion for filmmaking and adrenaline-fueled stunts.
The legendary actor is currently preparing for the release of the final installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, set to hit U.S. theaters on May 23. Cruise gave fans a thrilling sneak peek into what they can expect, especially regarding the film’s daring action sequences.
“You start doing it and you start thinking about it—these things are wild,” he said. “This underwater sequence and everything, it was very challenging figuring this out.”
Known for performing his own stunts, Tom shared insights into the extreme lengths he went to while shooting the film. “I fly airplanes, jets, aerobatics, formations, and helicopters,” the Top Gun actor noted. “Audiences, whatever they see in the trailer, it’s not even close to what they’re going to see on the big screen.”
Despite decades in the industry, Cruise’s excitement for cinematic storytelling hasn’t faded. His dedication to delivering jaw-dropping action continues to set him apart. “You can’t even think about or perceive what’s going to come for these people,” he teased, referring to the surprises awaiting fans in the upcoming movie. “I’m taking you for a ride.”
