Alexandra Daddario revealing she is expecting her first child. The White Lotus star shared the news in an exclusive interview with Vogue magazine, six months into her pregnancy. Daddario, who is married to film producer Andrew Form, had kept her pregnancy under wraps by wearing baggy clothes and posting cropped photos on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Daddario shared her joy with a series of pictures, captioned, “Excited for my child to go to pre-school with Margot Robbie and Hailey Bieber’s kids.” Both Robbie and Bieber are also expecting children.
In her emotional interview with Vogue, Daddario discussed the challenges of hiding her pregnancy and her relief at finally being able to share the news publicly. “I want to be able to not have to hide and have someone print a photo of me eating a bagel at the bodega,” she said. While filming the second season of AMC’s Mayfair Witches in New Orleans, her castmates quickly noticed her pregnancy due to extreme morning sickness. Although she initially wanted to keep the news private, she realized there could be benefits if her colleagues knew.
Daddario also opened up about a previous pregnancy loss, sharing her cautious joy this time around. “Those kinds of losses and trauma are very hard to explain unless you’ve been through them. I really relate to all the women who have been through those kinds of things in a way that I didn’t understand fully before. It’s very, very painful,” she said. She revealed that she used Reddit for mom advice, discovering the benefits of prenatal yoga.
Balancing work with her pregnancy provided a necessary distraction for Daddario, preventing her from overthinking every move. Now, she is ready to embrace motherhood, trading in stomach-hiding shirts for maternity wear.
