Parents of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala are set to welcome a new addition to their family. Sources close to the family confirmed that Charan Singh, Sidhu’s mother, conceived a baby through IVF treatment and is expecting the arrival of the child in March. Sidhu Moosewala, the only child of the couple, tragically lost his life in May 2022.
Charan Singh, reportedly 58 years old, opted for IVF treatment to expand her family. Back in 2022, she had declared her age as 56 while filing an affidavit as a covering candidate for Sidhu, who was contesting elections from Mansa. Currently under medical care, Charan Singh is embracing motherhood once again through assisted reproductive technology.
The untimely demise of Sidhu Moosewala occurred when he was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district. The incident took place as he, along with his cousin and friend, was traveling in a jeep to Jawaharke village in Mansa, 10 km away from his native village Moosa. The case is under investigation by a special investigation team (SIT) of the Punjab police.
The SIT has filed a chargesheet against 32 accused, including notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. Sidhu’s tragic death led to widespread mourning, with fans and supporters participating in a candle march in Mansa, seeking justice for the late singer. The march, attended by Sidhu’s mother, saw a large gathering in Moosa village, and prayers were held at a gurdwara in Jawahar Ke village to honor and remember the talented artist.
