The Murree and Galiyat regions are on high alert as the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and the Murree district administration gear up for anticipated snowfall and heavy rain. Alerts have been issued, and all pertinent departments are activated to ensure preparedness in the face of uncertain weather conditions persisting until February 22.

In light of the impending snowfall, travelers are urged to exercise caution, conduct thorough vehicle checks, and carry emergency supplies. Assistance is readily available through the PDMA’s 1129 helpline, Murree district administration’s control room numbers, and a designated WhatsApp contact. To navigate snowy areas, the use of tire chains is recommended, and adherence to traffic regulations is advised for a seamless travel experience.

To further support visitors, thirteen tourist assistance centers have been established, offering aid and guidance. Emergency services, including Rescue 1122 and the tourism helpline 1421, are on standby to provide assistance as needed.
