Experts and doctors in Karachi have reported cases of “mystery viral fever” that mimics dengue fever by lowering platelets and white blood cells in patients but tests negative for dengue.

Dr. Saeed Khan, chairman of Dow University’s Molecular Pathology department, has informed media outlets that a viral infection similar to dengue fever is spreading in Karachi. According to Dr. Saeed Khan, people with this virus present to hospitals with dengue symptoms but test negative for dengue.
