"sunday plus", New Zealand is hoping to reprogram Pakistan's tour.

On an opening day in Rawalpindi on Friday, New Zealand had pulled out of the limited tour, citing a security alert from the New Zealand Government.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) hopes to reprogram Pakistan’s tour following the Kiwis’ recent 18-year abandonment of their first visit to Pakistan due to a security menace.

Although NZC Chief Executive David White admitted that the future tour program is “pretty tight.”

” I believe it’s important to note that every time we go we’re going through an extensive security process, whether it’s Pakistan or England, or anywhere. That has not been an exception. In fact, in this case, it was probably more,” White said.

“I can’t answer [touring Pakistan] that question right now; it’s too early. But we will evaluate the merits of each tour,” he added.

White also was interested in maintaining the close relationship between New Zealand Cricket and Pakistan cricket.

“We have a very close relationship with Cricket Pakistan. We want to think that we’ll work on it over the next few days, weeks, and months to make sure we play the content we missed and continue our close working relationship,” he concluded.

New Zealand had pulled off the limited-over tour on an opening day at Rawalpindi on Friday by quoting a security alert from the New Zealand government.

New Zealand first visited Pakistan in 18 years and played three ODIs and five 2020 matches in Rawalpindi and Lahore.
