Shilpa Shetty, a Bollywood actress, has filed a defamation case in the Bombay High Court against 29 media personalities and outlets for allegedly maligning her character during the ongoing pornography case involving her husband, Raj Kundra.

The actress claims that the content published by outlets and individuals defamed her character and is now suing for an apology and Rs. 250 million.

She is accusing The New Indian Express, India TV, Free Press Journal, NDTV, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook, among others, according to the Bar and Bench website.

They added that defamatory content should be removed from platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. She maintained that news organizations—published the articles and distributed content that slandered her public image. The hearing is scheduled for Friday.

According to media reports, Kundra allegedly advised aspiring actresses on how to break into Bollywood via his company, Viaan Industries, which allegedly produced pornographic content for Hotshots, an adults-only mobile application.

The women were then coerced into filming inappropriate scenes under the guise of establishing a presence in the Hindi film industry.
