Defence Housing Authority officials removed animals from former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi’s Karachi home on Wednesday.
According to sources, the DHA administration responded to neighbor complaints about the nuisance. Furthermore, the DHA authorities stated that they had requested the former cricketer to remove other livestock supplies from its home.
This is not the first time that Shahid Afridi has come under fire. The former Pakistan captain famously faced backlash earlier this year after posting pictures of a chained lion on social media. Users on social media chastised him for housing wild animals in an unnatural environment and sharing posts about his animal love.
Afridi shared a photo of himself and his daughter performing the Boom-Boom pose, as well as another of him hand-feeding a baby deer. The Afridi family also keeps a chained lion in the background. “My daughter imitating my wicket-taking celebrations is the most wonderful feeling in the world. And yes, don’t forget to take care of animals, they too deserve our love and attention.,” he wrote in a 2018 tweet.
Afridi’s house, built around two and a half years ago, is located in Defence Phase 8 Karachi. Additionally, it was exquisitely designed to complement the cricketer’s lifestyle and accomplishments.

One section of the house is dedicated entirely to indoor sports, which Afridi and his friends participate in. A table tennis table is positioned in the center of a large lounge. Additionally, he has a snooker set up and members searching the basement. Seriously, it’s a five-star hotel.
