KARACHI — Senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Sindh governor Muhammad Zubair has replied to the viral video scandal that has swept the internet
The filthy video, which made headlines recently, supposedly depicted Zubair engaging in sexual actions with several unnamed women while his face is visible.
On his official Twitter account, the former Sindh governor stated, “Whoever is behind this has committed a really bad and despicable deed.” I have served my country with honesty, integrity, and dedication and will continue to speak out for Pakistan’s progress”.
The incident prompted a new round of social media uproar, with users, journalists, and politicians voicing their outrage. This is not the first time such an occurrence has occurred, as several Pakistani politicians, actors, and other prominent figures have fallen victim to leaks depicting them in filthy actions.
Azhar Mahswani, the Chief Minister of Punjab’s focal person, made a dig at the opposition leader, saying it appears to be an inside job by the Muslim League Nawaz. He concluded the tweet concerning ‘Maryam Leaks Productions.
Previously, journalists Gharidah Farooqi and Mansoor Ali Khan replied to the controversy by approaching the PML-N leader, who dismissed the clip as fabricated and doctored.
Meanwhile, the timing of the alleged leak caused additional concerns, as it occurred when Zubair was on the offensive against the ruling party.
