However, it appears as though a large number of reputable retail establishments are engaged in the extortion of their customers.
Recently, a video has been circulating on social media in which consumers are urged to be cautious of Imtiaz Supermarket’s over-measuring fraud.
Imtiaz Supermarket has earned consumers’ trust by providing superior quality and service, only to deceive them later. It has grown to become Pakistan’s largest retail chain. In the video, customers complain about the store overcharging and selling fruit and vegetable packets at a weight that differs from what is indicated on the weight labels.

As it appears, manipulating the product’s weight and deceiving customers has become common in recent years. From small vendors to large superstores, it’s self-evident that corruption is pervasive. They are only concerned with lining their pockets by charging higher rates. Ironically, they are the ones who are offended when apprehended.

It’s worth noting that the same superstore has previously faced criticism for a variety of other reasons. The inspection team had previously fined Imtiaz Supermarket for the store’s unsanitary condition, and selling expired goods and meat. The mart was once again in the news in 2018 to sell expired and phony products and do credit card fraud.
