
On Thursday, in the Grand Mosque of Makkah, an armed man was arrested for shouting slogans to support terrorist operations. The local law enforcement agency said the man was arrested for brandishing a knife. After the Asr prayer, he shouted slogans.
Meanwhile, a Makkah Police Speaker said that legal proceedings had begun against the suspect.
The news was confirmed by Sheik Abdul Rahman Al Sudais, President of the Two Holy Mosques. He also stated that the use of racist and extremist expressions was contrary to Islamic doctrines.

In an incident that caused no casualties, a driver rammed his car last year in the Grand Mosque’s outer gate in Makkah. The spokesperson on the Makkah region’s governorate said the crash occurred at night and saw the man’s car rammed across a border.
