Ali Xeeshan, one of Pakistan’s best fashion designers, unveiled his brand new 2021 wedding collection, titled ‘Numaish,’ at the 18th edition of the prestigious Pantene Hum Bridal Couture Week, which is now taking place in Lahore.
The collection is inspired by the campaign to abolish dowry culture and is described as a ‘pledge against the ancient institution of Dowry!’ Dowry is a contentious subject for many elements of Pakistani society today, even though the practice was declared outlawed in Pakistan in 2020 by Islamic sunnah.
Xeeshan presented his pieces on the runway in a fun manner, attempting to educate today’s youth to say no to dowry.
As the name implies, the collection is a celebration of pure beauty and elegance. It brings the excitement of the wedding season to life with meticulous artistry and a fascinating colour palette spanning from classic colours of red, blue, and yellow to white, silver, and pink.
This one included the groom walking alongside the bride in a fictitious automobile.
After the display, Ali Xeeshan walked the ramp with his happy and (mummy-to-be) wife, tenderly kissing her forehead!
