Islamabad, Pakistan: aik by BankIslami has enabled fully digital payments across all passenger touchpoints at Islamabad International Airport. Travelers and visitors can now complete transactions without cash across the airport environment.
This initiative was delivered in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan and the Pakistan Airports Authority. Senior officials from the State Bank of Pakistan, airport management, and aik Leadership marked the milestone at the airport.

The deployment introduces a unified cashless infrastructure that supports digital payment methods at counters, retail outlets, and service points. The system strengthens transaction security, improves processing speed, and enhances the passenger experience through seamless payments.

This development advances Pakistan’s transition toward a digital economy. It establishes a working model for large scale adoption of cashless systems in high traffic public infrastructure.
