NAGPUR – In the western Indian state of Maharashtra, a sexagenarian man was detained after being caught having sex with cows. The perpetrator, Tulsidas Delikar, a sanitary worker by trade, was reportedly captured on camera doing the act of bestiality at Hawaldarpura in Wardha city. The videos quickly went viral and sparked angry responses from the residents.
The neighborhood’s officials have launched legal action in response to the indignation from cow vigilante organisations. Pradeep Talmale, who reported receiving footage and pictures of Delikar who was caught in the sexual conduct, told police that he had filed a complaint on the complainant.
The accused’s family, however, said that he is a mentally unfit cancer sufferer.
Police detained the accused and brought up allegations of unnatural sex despite the claims of mental illness.
While recordings and photos were made a part of the proceedings, investigators will continue with the medical evaluation.
Cows are revered by Hindus as sacred creatures in India because they are central to Hindu mythology and religious scriptures. Hindus venerate the cow as a representation of the divine and maternal attributes, especially those of the most beloved deity, Lord Krishna.
